One of the few authentic occult shops remaining in NJ
Occult shops in the tristate area seem to be closing left and right, or else have, over the last five years, have turned into "Nuagers Only" shops. You know the sort I mean; the ones that have energy like fairy floss (cotton candy): pink, fluffy, saccharine so as to rot your teeth, and not really catering to anyone with an intellectual & emotional age over eight.
The Cauldron is none of that. It is exactly what one who is a Pagan or Neopagan would expect from the label "Occult Shop". The products thy have there represent a real cross section of everything magickal (and often just fun.)
No, unlike many "occult shops" you will not find a Buddha in every corner, nor the choirs of angels who all look to be modelled after Aryan ideals of Nazi recruitment posters, nor the "good witch" and Disney fairy type trappings that appeal to suburban Stepford wiccabes, nor an entire isle of Hay House intellectual pabulum.

YOU WILL FIND all manner of supplies and items for magickal workings, scrying and divination items, along with some of the usual decorative bits and baubs we all like to have. They have a growing selection of crystals, a nice selection of amulets and jewellery (not just the teen-witch flash), oils, herbs - even real Mandragora roots! - and all manner of things for the magickal practitioner.
The sisters, Angela and Cinzia, know of which they speak as well and are fully capable of giving sage advice to the seeker on a broad range of magickal subjects, or pointing them in the direction of knowledgeable help from one of the magickal practitioners who are often there. If they don't carry it they probably can get it or tell you where you can find it.
They also have a full schedule of speakers, presenters, and readers for anyone looking to learn more. I myself do a number of courses there and I've met some of the other presenters and they are not the "weekend wonder" types. They also have a number of events for anyone interested in spiritualism, spirituality, or the occult such as their monthly séance. There is alwas somthing interesting happening there.
Located in Point Pleasant Beach the shop is easy to find (two down from the corner of R t34 & Arnold Avenue near the Pizza shop) and easy to access from the NYC or Central NJ area. It only takes me 45 minutes to get there and I am near Trenton.
